The Wilson Combat 800 Vickers Duty Magazine was designed along-side firearms expert Larry Vickers. The re-designed base pad was designed so it is easier to get a hold of under stressful conditions. In harsh conditions, the follower 'sand cuts' allow this magazine to operate smoother and the follower spring assists in a more positive slide lock function over conventional 1911 style magazines. An eighth round rear witness hole provides assurance that you have loaded your magazine to capacity. One of the biggest benefits of this magazine is the corrosion resistance that it has to the elements especially if you need to rely on it for duty use or carry purposes. The extended steel base pad helps add some weight to the grip area of the gun, helping to reduce felt recoil and it's added weight assures the magazine will drop free when empty no matter what.
