VLTOR lower receivers are regarded as one of the best lower available on the market today. The new Vltor Lower Receiver Assembly is machined from a 7075 forging, it is marked with the well known Vltor "V" on the right side of the mag well.  Older model VLTOR lowers had the original VLTOR Gladius with the sword going through "V". The Vltor lower receiver also features unique grip enhancing cuts on the front of the magazine well, an over sized mag release button and the Vltor "side saddle" sling plate - featuring three positions to mount a quick disconnect sling swivel. The lower receiver comes semi-complete with a Vltor receiver extension tube, A5 buffer, spring and A2 grip.

The oversize magazine button and sling plate are proprietary and require machining of the lower receiver to fit
