The VLTOR Fusion Polylithic Complete Upper Receiver is a newly released product for 2016. This complete upper receiver includes a forward assist. Unlike previous models this upper does not have a removable forend. However you can access the barrel nut from a small removable portion of the handguard. This is the most rugged style of upper receiver that you will be able to find due to the construction. As per Mil-Spec this upper has been Type III class 2 hardcoat anodized, this means that it is very unlikely that more than a small portion of raw Aluminium will ever be introduced to the elements. This upper is as strong as you could ever ask for when it comes to the AR15, and it remains fairly lightweight.
