Scalarworks fixed iron sights are the lightest and some of the strongest sights around. Both the rear aperture and front sight blade are flat, this getting rid of highlights that may cause a bias when it comes to where you think you need to center the front sight. The sights have been smoothed out on every side to keep anything from snagging on your gear or clothing. Made from 7075-T6, this material has a much higher tensile strength, shear strength, yield strength and brinell hardness when compared to 6061. The front sight is non-rotating and allows for 1/2 MOA adjustments, this being on par with the majority of red dot sights. The rear sight also allows for the same 1/2 MOA adjustments. The Peak sights have been updated to accommodate rifles with a 15" sight radius, most irons are still made for older styles of rifles with a much longer barrel and more room in between sights. All of the changes that Scalarworks has made to create these, has created something new and much better.
