The Magpul STR stock includes battery compartments, however unlike the ACS stock it does not include additional compartments  for storage. Because of the battery compartments this stock has an improved cheek weld over many other designs, that is if your preference is a flat over curved stock. Magpul decided to build the majority of their stocks using an A frame design which is very durable.
