LMT has been making LE and Military rifles since 1980. At this point, LMT has mastered material choice, machining practices and tooling in the context of duty grade weapons. This rifle has a 16 inch chrome lined barrel with a mid length gas system, adding to the reliability of the system. The gas key has been chrome lined on the interior and staked per Mil-Spec. LMT has the most extensive test firing method around, each rifled has to cycle 90 rounds before it leaves the factory. The lower is fully ambidextrous and the controls are all placed in very well thought out areas that stay out of the way of other controls. The SOPMOD stock is very robust and provides a very comfortable flat cheek weld area.
