JP makes some of the best AR15 barrels money can buy. Since the 224 Valkyrie is a precision cartridge it is important you get a barrel that lives up to it's reputation. These barrel include a properly head spaced Enhancedbolt, this provides the best reliability possible. JP decided to go with an extra long gas tube length to reduce both felt recoil and blowback, this being especially important if you plan to shoot suppressed. The 224 Valkyrie has a lesser recoil impulse than 6.5 Grendal, 6.8 SPC and many other wildcat cartridges currently on the market. Not only this but the ballistics are very comparable to 6.5 creedmoor at long distances.
